Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
Tallymora helps you record purchases, reflect on whether they were worthwhile, and understand your spending habits. This Privacy Policy explains how Tallymora handles information when you use the app.
Information Tallymora handles
Tallymora handles only the information you choose to enter, import, or create in the app:
- Purchase and check-in information, including a purchase name, amount, date, category, optional note, rating, and whether you dismissed a check-in.
- Imported transaction information from a CSV file you select in the Files app, including the transaction date, description, amount, and, when present, category. Tallymora records the import source name, type, import date, and number of imported transactions so that it can avoid importing duplicates.
- Private Spending Coach information, including your selected goals, preferred support style, chat messages, and coach responses. If you explicitly enable transaction-history access for the coach, it can use your locally stored purchase information to make its responses more relevant.
- App preferences, such as whether you enable check-in reminders or purchase activity alerts.
Tallymora does not ask for payment card numbers, bank-account credentials, Apple Account credentials, or a live Apple Pay or Apple Wallet transaction feed. It does not connect directly to banks, payment networks, Apple Pay, or Apple Wallet.
How information is used
Tallymora uses the information above only to provide its features: recording purchases, importing CSV transactions, showing spending insights, scheduling local reminders or activity alerts, and providing the optional Spending Coach.
When you choose a CSV file, the app reads it locally to import eligible purchase transactions. The original CSV file is not retained by Tallymora after the import.
Storage, sharing, and AI
Your purchase data, imported-source details, check-ins, coach setup, coach chats, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Tallymora does not currently provide account sign-in or cross-device data sync, and it does not send this information to a Tallymora-operated server.
The optional Spending Coach uses Apple's system Foundation Models capability where it is available on your device. Tallymora provides the coach with the message you write, your selected coaching preferences, and—only when you enable that choice—your local purchase history. Tallymora does not operate a separate AI server or independently transmit this information to one. Apple's handling of its system AI capabilities is governed by Apple's own privacy information and settings.
Tallymora does not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Tallymora may schedule local notifications on your device to remind you to check in on a purchase, confirm that a purchase was added, or confirm that a CSV import completed. Notification content may include a purchase name or import-source name. These are local app notifications; Tallymora does not send remote push notifications.
Your choices and controls
You control your information in the app:
- You can choose not to import a CSV file and can keep transaction-history access turned off for the Spending Coach.
- You can turn notifications on or off in Tallymora or in iPhone Settings.
- You can delete an individual purchase.
- You can delete an imported source, which removes its associated imported purchases, or delete all imported sources.
- You can clear check-ins, which removes ratings, review notes, and scheduled check-ins while keeping purchases.
- You can delete individual coach chats.
- You can use Erase all app data in Settings to remove purchases, imported-source details, coach setup, coach chats, preferences, and local notifications from the app.
Because Tallymora stores this information locally, removing the app from your device also removes its local app data, subject to your device's operating-system behavior and any backup settings you choose.
Children's privacy
Tallymora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Tallymora's data practices change. We will update the effective date when we do.
